Here’s a bit of news I know many of you have waited for, including myself. According to the Mozilla Blog, Firefox Home will be available for BlackBerry smartphones “in the coming months”. With Firefox Home BlackBerry users will have access to more Firefox data and add social functionality like:

Synchronize passwords to your phone so you don’t have to type them in anymore.
-“Sinkronisasi password di handphone anda agar tidak perlu lagi mengetiknya berulang-ulang.”-
Better integrate with new iOS4 features and other native applications (such as Youtube, Maps, Mobile Safari etc.)
-“Integrasi yg lebih baik dengan fitur-fitur iOS4 baru dan aplikasi bawaan lain (seperti Youtube, Maps, Mobile Safari, dll.)”-
Bring other Firefox customizations such as search engine preferences. -“Dengan preferensi Kustomisasi Firefox lain seperti search engine”-
Bring your Firefox Panorama settings and tab groups to your phone. -“Setting Panorama Firefox dan tab grup ke handphone anda.”-
Some of our more experimental features will allow you to easily share links, reviews and comments with your friends on

Twitter, Facebook or other social networks directly from Firefox Home.

Build the ability to provide feedback and get help with any issues directly from within Firefox Home.
-“Membangun kemampuan untuk menyediakan feedback dan mendapatkan bantuan terhadap masalah yang dihadapi langsung dari halaman awal Firefox”-
That’s not to say the BlackBerry version will see all the mentioned functionality but at least it gives us an idea of what to expect. If you’re a developer who would like to help with the development of Firefox Home for BlackBerry you can join their mailing list or #mobile on their irc server.
